Viviane Frehner is an Australian based dancer, choreographer and indie film maker, born in Switzerland. She studied at the Zurich Dance Theatre School, followed by an education with a Bachelor of Arts in contemporary dance at the Amsterdam Art School.
After graduating in 2009, she moved to Germany and worked as a full time dancer for Dance Company Nanine Linning at Theater Osnabrück (D) and at Theater Heidelberg (D) and toured around Europe with multiple pieces.
In 2014 she relocated to Australia where she is working as a independent dance artist.
Viviane´s works are site responsive, flavoured with a tinge of mundane poetry, domestic surrealism and pedestrian beauty.
Viviane is co-artistic director of the Gold Coast based dance company Gogi Dance Collective (gogidancecollective.com) which is supported by the Gold Coast city council.
She is the producer the short dance film GOGI which has been screening at dance film festivals nationally and internationally.
